What it isn't...
- Meditation isn’t a practice to eliminate all thoughts, that would be impossible
- You don't have to be able to sit still or in the lotus position to practice
- It's not just for hippies or the new age movement
- You don’t have to be religious or spiritual
- It's not time intensive, how often you practice is more important than the length of time you meditate in one sitting. Even just 5 minutes a day, everyday is beneficial
- You don't need special equipment or a special place
What it is...
- Focuses on the here and now
- Connects to your inner self by becoming present and aware of what’s happening in and around you
- You become truly present
- Gives space between your thoughts
- Actively trains the mind to increase awareness
- Helps you re-centre to your inner calm
- It's easy to do, anytime, anywhere
- It's a life skill
- It’s self-care
